If a gift is stolen from you, you can steal someone else’s gift or choose a wrapped one. The stealing continues until a wrapped gift is chosen. A gift cannot be immediately stolen back from the person who just stole it. The person who steals a gift for the fourth time gets to keep it. The gift cannot be stolen after that. The game is over when the last wrapped gift is opened.

CINNAMON BEEF STEW WITH PASTA OR RICE

¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper

2 pounds beef cut into cubes Olive oil for browning

5 cups of water

1½ cups rice wine, sake, or white wine

¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce

¼ cup sugar

2 cinnamon sticks

1-inch piece of ginger sliced or minced

2 large portabella mushrooms, coarsely chopped, or button mushrooms halved (optional)

10 ounces of packaged baby spinach

½ pound of uncooked pasta or

1½ cups of uncooked rice
